Description

The Metrel A1632 eMobility Analyser is a purpose-built adaptor for commissioning, verifying and troubleshooting Mode 3 electric-vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). Designed by Metrel for use with their Eurotest installation testers, it enables electricians, facility managers and EV-charging specialists to perform functional and electrical-safety tests on single- and three-phase charging stations quickly and reliably.

Connecting directly to the charging station via a Type 2 plug, the A1632 simulates an electric vehicle, lets you switch between vehicle states (A–E) and select various plug-present (PP) resistor values to check current-rating recognition. Combined with a compatible Metrel tester, you can verify PE continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance, RCD trip time/current and analyse the control-pilot (CP) signal for duty-cycle accuracy—all without opening the EVSE enclosure.

Key Features:

  • 3-Phase & Single-Phase Compatibility: Tests charging stations up to 32 A in both single- and three-phase configurations for maximum versatility on site.
  • Type 2 Vehicle-Side Connector: Plugs directly into most European EVSE outlets, eliminating the need for additional adapters.
  • EV State & PP Simulation: Select vehicle states A, B, C, D or E and choose PP resistor values (13 A, 20 A, 32 A) to confirm station response and current-rating detection.
  • Control-Pilot Analysis: Access and measure the CP signal’s duty cycle, frequency and voltage levels to verify communication between charger and vehicle.
  • Seamless Integration with Eurotest Instruments: Works with Metrel MI 3152, MI 3155 and other supported testers to perform loop, RCD, insulation and continuity measurements through a single interface.
