Description

The Sonel MRU-120 Earth Resistance Tester is a professional-grade instrument designed for comprehensive grounding system verification and soil resistivity analysis. Engineered for electricians, electrical engineers, and safety inspectors, it enables fast, precise measurements of earth resistance, ground loop impedance and soil resistivity on construction sites, industrial facilities, substations and renewable-energy installations.

Built by Sonel, the MRU-120 supports multiple test methods—2-, 3- and 4-pole, selective clamp, and 2-clamp techniques—so users can capture accurate data even in complex, multi-electrode environments. In addition, its ability to carry out soil resistivity testing (Wenner/Schlumberger) and continuity checks of protective conductors makes it an all-in-one solution for grounding compliance in accordance with international standards such as IEC 62305 and IEC 61010. The intuitive interface, large backlit display, and onboard memory simplify data collection in the field, while optional Bluetooth® connectivity streamlines results transfer for analysis and reporting.

Key Features:

  • Multi-method Testing: Performs 2-, 3-, 4-pole, selective clamp, and 2-clamp measurements for versatile earth resistance verification on any site.
  • Soil Resistivity Mode: Supports Wenner and Schlumberger configurations, enabling accurate assessment of ground conditions before electrode installation.
  • Ground Loop Impedance: Determines ground fault path impedance without disconnecting the earth conductor, aiding lightning-protection and surge-protection design.
  • Continuity & Leakage Measurements: Checks bonding conductor continuity and measures leakage current (with compatible clamp) for full system diagnostics.
  • Field-ready Design: Rugged housing, large backlit display, and intuitive menu navigation ensure reliable operation in harsh environments.

Why Choose the Sonel MRU-120 Earth Resistance Tester?

  • Combines multiple grounding tests in a single, portable unit.
  • Delivers trustworthy results that align with international safety standards.
  • User-friendly interface reduces testing time and on-site complexity.
